Skin Cancer is the result of change in the structure of the skin. The good news is that most of the skin cancers are relatively easy to cure when detected early. It will lead to abnormal growth. Skin cancer develops on areas that are exposed to sun in few cases it develops in areas not exposed to sun. The areas that are not covered are at high risk of being affected by cancer. Skin cancer will affect all the types of skin tones. Even those with darker complexion will also get the cancer.
People with darker complexion will get in areas that are not exposed to UV rays. One must protect the skin carefully in summer as well as winter. Safeguarding the skin in winter is also more important. Throughout the year you must make sure that your skin is safe and free from radiations. Once in a month have a clean check up with the skin from head to toe. Look for any suspicious sings in the skin.
Self examination will help you to find the cancer in the root and it’s easy to cure in the initial stage. Before going for a self examination you must obviously know what you are looking for. Let’s take the case of spotting either a non-melanoma or melanoma cancer. Take a note of any new mole or abnormal growth of the existing moles in the other way. The clothing will also play a major factor in affecting the skin and may be a root cause for skin cancer. Always wear light color clothes that will absorb less radiation from the sun. Black is the best absorbent of heat. So avoid it completely when you are traveling or going for work. Applying skin lotion is the best preventive measure. Other way is to cover the skin while going out. So that the skin can be secured from harmful radiations.
